David’s Musical Journey

David was fortunate to have a father who was not only a math professor but a piano player in the musician’s union. David was offered piano lessons at the tender age of four and to everyone’s surprise, he said yes. In high school he wanted to play in the orchestra, so it was suggested to learn the string bass as it was often difficult to find good bass players. In the 1970’s, during the San Francisco Bay area rock ’n roll scene, David learned the acoustic and electric guitar. Upon high school graduation he was awarded a full music scholarship to college and then went on to play professionally throughout the 70’s playing with Eddie Money for a time and then with a seven-member rock band called Franklin Dawes. In the 80’s David made a living orchestrating music for commercials, movies, and composed worship music for the new church movement that had emerged at that time. His was quite a journey and to this day, he continues to compose and perform his unique style of music. Take a listen below.
